The markets of Japan, South Korea and other countries have shown miracles of growth. If the South Korean direction already mastered the Russian producers of pellets, the Japanese market remains a mystery for the domestic pelletstove. However, the import volume of wood pellets to Japan reached 232 000 tonnes in 2015, an increase of almost 2.5 times since 2014 when the country of the Rising sun bought only 97 000 t of pellets. It is expected further growth. If the South Korean consumers are willing to accept a variety of biofuels and prefer cheap products from husk, straw and other agrobiomass, the Japanese on the contrary the quality of pellets are tied for first place and are willing to pay a high price for a good product. For the Russian manufacturers, who face high costs, the Rising sun country can be very interesting in terms of development of relations. In the meantime, the Russians do not make the supply of pellets to the Japanese market.
